24 Hour Oakland Parent Teacher Children's Center

Has 24 beds providing either short-term emergency shelter or longer term transitional housing(from 30 to 90 days) to single women, women with children, age 12 and under. Offers parenting classes, workshops and childcare. Residents must be clean and sober for 90 days and willing to volunteer within the agency. Holds weekly house meeting and requires residents to save 10% of their monthly gross income. Also provides referrals to outside counseling.
